Priest-In-Charge
Father John has been our priest-in-charge since September of 2022. He was ordained as a minister of the Episcopal Church in June of 2020 and was among the first graduating class of the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast's Local School for Ministry. In addition to his service at St. John's, he is also a member of the clergy at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Daphne, AL.
Fr. John and his wife Leslie have two young children, Lilly and Emma. As a family they enjoy spending time on Mobile Bay, singing together, and spending lots of time in the kitchen with their extended family.
The Vestry and Parish Staff of Saint John's
The Vestry is a group of parishioners that meet regularly to address matters related to church property and operations. Vestry members are elected by the parish at our annual meeting. Each member serves a three-year term. The basic responsibilities of the vestry are the articulate the mission of the parish, support the church's mission by word and deed, to aid in the selection of clergy and staff, and manage the physical property and financial assets.
